Materials:
80 yards 6mm Bonnie Braid Iridiscent or Metallic Macrame Cord
1-3" Styrofoam Ball
1-12" Styrofoam Cone
1-12"Gold Metallic Chenille Stem
20 inches gold braid trim
1 1/2 yards Gold metallic twisted paper
1 yard narrow gold ribbon 1 3/4" x 4" piece of posterboard
2 pieces lash strip - each approx. 3/4" long
1 Craft Stick
Glue gun, glue and scissors... also disposable lighter for curls.

CUT:

HAIR
22 pieces at 46 "each
1 piece at 12"
1 piece at 40"

HEAD & BODY
30 pieces at 46" each
2 pieces at 20" each

ARMS
30 pieces at 12 "each

HAIR: Glue the center of each of the 46" pieces of cord along a 6" area of the 12" piece of cord. Keep the hair pieces flat and even. Fold the other half of the 12" strip and glue in place. You now have a 6" strip  with 23" of "hair" on each side. Set aside for the moment.

HEAD & BODY:  Using one 20" piece of cord, tie the thirty 46" pieces together. Place the 3" Styrofoam ball under the cords where they are tied together. Bring the cords around the ball evenly and tie together using the remaining 20" piece of cord. Carefully adjust the cord ends to form a smooth round head.

ARMS: Tie the thirty 12" arm cords together about 2" from each end. Separate the body cords evenly under the head. Place the arm snug against the head between the cords. Tie body cords tightly under the arms forming waist. Tip the angel over, insert a craft stick in the center of the tied cords at waist letting approx. 2" of the craft stick to remain showing.

HAIR: Add a line of glue on the "Part" of the hair and glue to angel's head. Gather cords on each side of the head into pony tail about 2" from the "part" and tie with a piece of cord. Glue to side of head.

CURLS: For each curl, pull one strand of hair cord, pushing the rest of the cord toward the ponytail ties. Using the "pulled" strand, wrap end of curl, cut and fuse pulled strand to the curl wrap. To make the curl framing the face, tie an overhand knot at one end of the 40" cord. Pull one strand of cord from the opposite end, while pushing the rest of the cord toward the overhand knot. Check length on your angel and adjust to fit before wrapping and fusing the pulled cord. Note that this is a double row framing the face. Glue this double row of curls in place on angel's face.

SKIRT: Unbraid each cord. Start at waist area, pull one strand completely out. Repeat until braid is completely undone. Carefully brush out the skirt a few cords at a time.

ASSEMBLY: Tip angel upside down locating the center under waist with the craft stick showing. Carefully insert the craft stick into the top of the 12" Styrofoam cone. Stand angel up. Trim skirt cords. Cut 3 pieces of gold braid cord at 6 1/2" each. Glue 1 piece at left front waist area, bring up over right shoulder and down to left waist area in back. Glue into place. Repeat with another 6 1/2" piece, starting at right front waist, up over left shoulder, down to back right side of waist. Glue third piece of gold braid trim around waist.

Make a "halo" from the gold chenille stem leaving a 3" tail. Glue this tail of the halo to the back of the angel's head on the part line of her hair.

Glue eyelashes into place on the face. Cut the 1 yard piece of ribbon in half and with each piece of ribbon tie a bow around each ponytail.

WINGS: Cut 1 piece of Gold Metallic twisted paper at 26" and 1 piece at 22". Untwist both pieces. Overlap the ends of the 26" piece of cording and glue forming a tube. Gather the center between your fingers and glue in place at back of angel, just above waist line. Repeat with the 22" piece - glue in place at back of angel just below the 26" piece.

BOOK: Untwist the remaining piece of gold metallic twisted paper and use to cover the 1 3/4" x 4" piece of posterboard. Glue this book to ends of the angel's arms.
